Preventative Pet Health

At Ellsworth Animal Hospital, LLC, we are fully committed to your pet’s health and happiness. That’s why we recommend bringing them in for regular wellness exams and vaccinations. By doing so, we’ll be able to treat issues before they arise.

Animal Chiropractic

We are excited to offer Chiropractic services!  Dr. Laurel went through extensive training at Options for Animals to become certified by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association.  Call us to schedule an appointment today.

Spay | Neuter

We highly recommend pets be spayed or neutered at 5-6 months of age if not intended to be a breeding animal. This prevents many different conditions and cancers that could be life-threatening. It is important to do this when they are puppies and before the female's first heat cycle before problems arise.

Dental Cleaning

It is important for your dog and cat to have routine dental examinations and cleanings. In order to clean the teeth effectively we have to place your pet under general anesthesia. We can also extract teeth at the same time if necessary.

Boarding

Our boarding facility was updated in 2024, and is now it's own, separate, heated and cooled building.  There are 16 indoor/outdoor kennel runs with heated floors, as well as traditional, stacked kennels.  Dogs may also be hand-walked or go outside to play on our new astroturf area.  We have eight (8) cat condos which provide two separate spaces for living and kitty litter areas.  Clean water is provided and food is offered twice daily, unless you choose to bring your own animal's food.

All dogs must be current on rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella (kennel cough) vaccinations before boarding.  All cats must be current on rabies.  If your pet has been vaccinated elsewhere, we do require proof of vaccination at the time of service.  Please call (785) 472-5175 to make reservations.

General Soft Tissue Surgery

Our talented team can perform many soft tissue surgeries. If we feel uncomfortable with a certain procedure we can provide a referral to a specialist.

Orthopedic Surgery

We can repair some fractures and orthopedic deformities with surgery. If we feel uncomfortable with a certain procedure we can provide referral to a specialist.

Euthanasia & Cremation Services

We offer in-home or traditional euthanasia. We understand this is a very emotional time so we try to make it as comfortable for you and your pet as possible.

Cremation provides a safe, humane, and dignified option for our beloved companions.  We offer mass or private cremation services, and make sure your animal is treated with dignity and respect during his/her last stage of life.
